Who the hell is Kip Ferox?

Yes, who the hell is Kip Ferox? I guess that’s the burning question of this page… I love telling stories and creating characters that someone, hopefully, can relate to. But talking about myself? Not so much. What I do love is crafting chaotic characters and stories that balance heavy topics with ridiculous laughter.

I mostly write MM romances and dark MM romances. Why? Because boys can be wonderfully clueless and delightfully complicated — and all too often, society tells them they’re not allowed to feel or show their emotions. Well, my characters feel… they feel a lot. And hopefully, you’ll feel it with them.

When it comes down to it, I don’t think there can ever be too many queer books. I just write love stories. And I hope one day people won’t even care if it’s a love story between two men, two women, or whoever you are. Love is love — in all its beautiful, messy, complicated forms. And that’s what I write.

Usually, this is where I’d stop, since I don’t love talking about myself. But I guess I owe you a little something for making it this far. So… something about Kip? For thirteen years, I was deep in the IT industry — working so hard that my body eventually said, “What if you slow down, or die?”

That made me take a peek in the mirror and realize that somewhere along the way, I lost sight of my dream: to write stories that could help someone feel a little less alone. And now I am here, after some big changes, rooting for myself to finally do what I really love.
